Lynn Bonko MS CCC-SLP
Lynn's passion for working with children has been lifelong. She earned her bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Alberta, Canada, and it was during her career as a teacher that she discovered her calling in speech-language pathology. Lynn is married with two boys and cherishes time spent with family and friends.
In 2011, she earned her graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Queensland, Australia. Her expertise spans the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of children with receptive and expressive language delays. She has extensive experience in addressing articulation and sound production challenges, phonological processing, expressive and receptive language development, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, language acquisition for AAC users, executive function delays, and myofunctional therapy.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Lynn has deepened her knowledge in Childhood Apraxia of Speech and holds Level 1 PROMPT certification. She is also certified in Orofacial Myology, including the treatment of Tethered Oral Tissue (TOTs). Her commitment to professional growth is reflected in her ongoing education in evidence-based therapy for executive function delays, as well as her participation in numerous seminars and workshops focused on speech and language development for AAC users.
Outside of her professional life, Lynn enjoys supporting her boys and husband in their martial arts journeys—while pursuing one of her own. An avid knitter, she picked up the craft nearly a decade ago and hasn’t stopped since. She also loves slow mornings with a warm cup of coffee and a good book.
Understanding that therapy can be a challenge, Lynn is committed to making each session engaging, play-based, and relaxed—creating a positive environment for success.
