Kiya Guire
Kiya was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California. She later attended California Polytechnic State University, Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University) in Northern California, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2021. Drawn to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, Kiya decided to move to Seattle after graduating.
For the past three years, Kiya has dedicated herself to the role of a mental health clinician. In this capacity, she has provided support to both children and adults, helping clients navigate various challenges and develop coping skills to enhance emotional well-being. This experience has equipped Kiya with a solid foundation in clinical practice and deepened her commitment to making a positive impact on others' lives.
Kiya is currently advancing her education by pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University. This academic pursuit aims to enhance her skills and make her a more effective counselor. Kiya joined Waypoint in December and is enthusiastic about continuing her professional growth and contributing to the mental health field.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Kiya enjoys spending time with her fiancé and her cat Zelda. She is an avid birdwatcher, enjoys fishing, and loves spending time outdoors. She also loves cozy activities such as listening to music, reading, and playing video games.
